Café Ole or Take it Black

Early this particular morning, I was faced with a decision; Do I wear color or put on this city’s uniform standard spanning from brown to black? I wore my favorites and then, I ran into two lovely girls in front of the coffee shop. Natalia and Maiensy stylishly flanked me in a sea of black. And while black can be a strong cup of confidence as these girls prove, I said, “Make mine a Café Ole!”

I wore my turq tank that I customized with a spicy yellow trim bib filled with multi-sized tomato-red buttons, a vintage cardigan with vivid stripes, a TARINA TARANTINO strawberry clip, a NOIR friendship charm necklace, my special edition LE SPORTSAC TOKI DOKI mini purse and my FRANKIE B rainbow jeans. I grounded all of this color with a pair of vintage cream suede HUSH PUPPIES. ¡Vivir una vida colorida! (Life is colorful!)

What's on my super girl body today? I am wearing a SHARON SEGAL secret recipe 50% pima cotton and 50% micro model cotton v-neck in pink (you can find something similar on sale at BLUE JEANS right now) and an EC STAR "destroy" tee under my SUCRE SOIR short sleeve button jacket in emerald green with my LTB skinnies and BUFFALO EXCHANGE boots. The necklace is a little duck that LIL STAR gave me and in my hand is my Nerf-n-Strike Busssaw. POW!

Photography Feature: Johannes Stamcar

These gorgeous fashion editorials are from across the sea. Meet the photographer, Johannes P. Stamcar. During our online interview, Johannes promised, "And of course, I would tell you with pleasure something about this Fashion Shooting, this was also a big history which is also to see on television!" How could I resist telling the story of someone with such adorable english skills. A 36-year-old Austrian, living in Linz and working around the world, Stamcar shoots fashion, glamour and portraits. This production took place in a castle in Germany called “Schloss Mainberg” scouted by Matthias Breitenbach.

The location and photographer weren’t the only impressive components on this shoot. Stamcar’s production consisted of a stellar team! Margarita Ruhl was his model, who took part in Germany’s Next Top Model 2009 hosted by Heidi Klum and was Miss Hesse/Germany 06. (Unfortunately, I don’t think she got super far on GNTM because I can’t see her on their site. Their loss!) The amazing clothes were from Eva Poleschinski’s SS09 collection. (More about her later. She’s a brilliant stylist too!) Makeup styling was by Bettina Strodl and hair was done by Edin Besic.

A television crew filming a story on fashion also accompanied them on set. The TV people aren’t the only ones who will be following Johannes and all of his exceptional team, so will I!
