I'm a sucker for pretty packaging. Instead of grabbing another bottle of shampoo and conditioner at the salon or drugstore, I stopped into Uwajimaya, a Japanese market, and perused their beauty section. This set of shampoo, conditioner and treatment was neatly packaged in a handled box with hearts printed in pink all over. The bottles are a super generous size and shaped like elongated shells. They look fabulous in my shower! Oh, and... yes, they are very moisturizing and smell great.

Designers and life-long friends Gillian Mahin and Laura Hall of For Love and Lemons grew up in cowboy country and hitched their saddles to a bright Southern California dream. It shows. Something about their flowing, no-nonsense pieces evokes images of delicate vintage slips, muted colors faded by a blazing sun all in a heap of bohemian and Rock and Roll layers. "Hello Little Toads!" One of the many perks that I have as a product stylist is first dibs on the actual product, take-home props and sometimes I even get invited to sample sales. What I like about a sample is that there is a pretty good possibility that it never made it to stores! I love collecting these great Nintendo items and character swag! While Lil Star is a big fan of Yoshi, my favorite is of course, Princess Peach from Super Mario.

Seattle is all about layering. This time of year you simply don't know what you are going to get when you walk out the door. Boots are a good bet because I just know rain will be involved and leggings will block out those chilly winds that are bound to blow through the city. I pair my protective "gear" with a fun tee layered over a leopard print tank and short denim skirt. Voila! I fooled you into thinking that I have a Spring look!

I've always wanted my very own unicorn.
