Making business plans for the new year! This calls for inspiration. Next to me is the CUTE OVERLOAD daily calendar, I'm wearing my TARINA TARANTINO earrings and BEBE ring and of course my little Jelly Bean is bouncing around on the carpet below me. I am wearing a darling little bat-wing sweater that I just got from a sweet little boutique that just opened up on 1959 6th Ave W @ W Crockett St called MEADOW. The prices are great and the atmosphere is darling! My friend Erin even gave me those sweet little deer silhouettes that she bought from the same store! I Want This!

I don't know why I torture myself but, I did it. I typed "cute phone" into my google search bar and there she was... hmmm, tasty Melty Bitter or the tempting Melty Strawberry? I want this phone! A collaboration between SHARP and Q-POT a Japanese accessories maker was what I had been looking for. But to buy the phone I would either have to pay over $800 U.S. dollars or use Japanese carrier DOCOMO which means I couldn't use all of this delicious phone's features: pre-installed chocolate-themed menus, photo frames and wall papers, a 1-seg digital TV tuner, Bluetooth, an 8 megapixel CCD camera and a 3 inches WVGA ASV screen. Only 13,000 lucky girls and boys will devour this phone and I will be here in the states with not even a morsel of girly phones to choose from.

On Sunday gobs of people rushed into LILY'S PAMPERING SALON AND PARTY BOUTIQUE to take a look at the latest in trendy tween jewelry, MOGO. And who does a girl party better than LILY'S? It was the perfect fit! And, this time, I was behind the camera as photographer. The sweet little girls were the perfect subjects and made my job ultra easy. Clever girls linked the bands together and made headbands, double bracelets and belts. From Red to Black

I had to leave my house incognito today. You see, I let my hair go far too long without a professional color. The last "home" attempt granted me with the most awful dry scalp and even though the box showed a beautiful deep dark brown, my hair turned a terrible orange. I simply had to enter my salon Lily's under the radar. I swear to you I did NOT retouch the color in the photos; it was just that embarrassing! But, when I walked out of the salon I held my head high; my hair went from drab to shiny, from limp to lively and from red to black. Now I can show my face AND my hair. Take a tip from me, don't color at home girls and if you're in town call Marley up at Lily's, she really knows how to pamper you beautiful!

A Little Somethin

Here's a little somethin I 've been working on here in my studio at home. This Adelita Tee is waiting to be hand-sewn. I embellished this nude tank with adorable gingham and eyelit lace around the arm wholes to give a butterfly look to the "sleeves" and under the neckline for a bib effect. In the center of the bib are three Frida Kahlo buttons. They are from the paintings she did of herself in traditional Tehuana costume.

Holiday Sale

I put together this ad for a cute little outlet store here in Seattle. Sucre Soir has great basic women's clothing, all cotton that wears and washes really well. Because it's an outlet, you get wholesale or better on overstock, off-season colors or discontinued items. I love to stock up on their great t-shirts for layering! Heathers, The Original Mean Girl Movie

This morning I woke up and opened my "Daily Candy" and there it was... a still from the 1989 black comedy HEATHERS, the quintessential mean-girls movie. Only the "candy" store was using it to advertise the latest organic cramp ointment. Ugh. If you have not seen it, this is not just a little pms joke of a movie, this is the real deal. Shoplifter extraordinaire Winona Rider stars as Veronica unwilling member of a clique consisting of 3 girls all named Heather, one of which happens to be "love-to-hate-her" Shannon Doherty, who rule the school through intimidation, contempt, and sex appeal. Christian Slater enters as bad boy prankster Jason Dean whose irresistible charm woos Veronica into a dangerous web of murder! Why post this on a fashion blog? Check out their Japanese school girl mini skirts, 80's big hair , Joan Collins shoulder pads and fabulous lycra leggings!
