Tautou You, Coco!

Coco Avant Chanel came out the end of July in the U.K. and Coco Before Chanel is hitting U.S. theatres mid-September. In the story of Coco Chanel's rise from obscure beginnings to the heights of the fashion world, Audrey Tautou plays Coco. Anne Fontaine, the director says she cast Audrey as Coco because she looks exactly like Coco in her youth. In this clip Audrey talks about the fashion icon: "She wanted to be free. And it starts by free herself in the movement — by get rid of the corset and, you know, having the possibility to feel comfortable and have practical clothes, but which highlight woman personality instead of making them only a decoration, object.”

Love is Never Camouflaged

click on this photo for a better look!

Just so you know, I can hardly look at this photo. And sometimes we all need a reprieve from fashion to take a look at life. CJ has to go and his little one will miss him dearly. The wife that he leaves behind, P, was kind enough to let me post this shot. I am grateful to know this man for over half of my life. He gives so much and his family sacrifices. But he can look at this photo everyday and know that he has so much waiting for him, his family is proud of his courage and that love is never camouflaged.

Today's AdelitaStyle Self Portrait

Mixing prints can be difficult but once you get a good theme going, it's lots of fun. Today I paired my purrrfect FOREVER21 sweater with a roaring wild SHARON SEGAL super soft tee and my biting PAZZO snakeskin flats from QUEEN ANNE DISPATCH. Voila!! Kamiflage!

From Inspiration to Translation: Antoinette

Just in case you forgot what we were all about, click on this image for a closer look! Old and new, romance and cuteness. I was inspired by Marie Antoinette. So for this shot, I styled our model Rainbow in a borrowed layercake dress, surrounded her with several beautiful antiques assembled from Lisa's "s**t sprawl" (her words, not mine.) Then I finished it all up with a beautiful TARINA TARANTINO Barbie necklace.

Contributors: Sean Watson as photographer, Rainbow as model, and Kamie Kahlo as hair, makeup, wardrobe and prop stylist and art director and graphic designer.
